It is important to make our classroom a safe learning environment. Students will take responsibility for their actions by following a classroom management plan. The plan includes five different colored cards. The card colors and the correlating consequences are as listed below:
Pink: Student Leader/Role Model (*Candidate for the "Leader in Me award" award *Daily tally earned *20 days-earn teacher award)
Blue: Awesome Behavior/Great Effort (*Daily tally earned *20 days-earn teacher reward)
Green: Ready to learn (*All start here everyday *Daily tally earned *20 days-earn teacher award*2 verbal warnings-move to yellow)
Yellow: Think About It/Warning (*No consequence*Can work back up the color chart)
Red: Teacher's Choice/Consequence(*Retraining*5 minutes on your number/on the wall*Apology Note*5-10 minutes after school*Loss of technology free choice time (5-10 minutes)*Parent Contact/Office Referral (Being on red does not automatically mean an office referral)*Can work back up the color chart*Can work back up the color chart)
Rewards Given
At the end of the day, if a student name is on a green, blue, or pink card, he or she will earn a punch on his or her good behavior card. When the punches accumulate to 20, a reward can be given.
